If you already have a foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, judo, or another grappling art, our Intermediate / Advanced BJJ program is where your training moves to the next level.
This class is designed for students who already understand the fundamentals and want to sharpen technique, improve strategy, and train with motivated teammates who take growth seriously.
At Calvert MMA Academy®, home of Team LINEAGE®, students train under direct Relson Gracie lineage. Our curriculum blends traditional Gracie self-defense with modern competitive grappling, creating a complete system built on both timeless fundamentals and evolving technique.
Professor Jim Thrift regularly trains with high-level grapplers and world-class competitors, bringing new ideas and refined systems back to the academy while staying grounded in the principles that made Gracie Jiu-Jitsu effective in the first place.
Because of the technical level and intensity of training, this class requires instructor approval before participation.
If you are new to Jiu-Jitsu, begin with our beginner program and Foundations Pass.
