With over 500 competition matches as of Spring 2026 and still competing nearly every weekend — sometimes twice in a single day at different events — Jack is the most active competitor on the East Coast.

His unmatched dedication and experience make him a highly valued coach and training partner for students of all levels at Team Lineage® (Calvert MMA® & Lineage BJJ®).

Not just in volume — but in how he competes. He consistently moves up in divisions, takes matches against higher belts, enters Absolute divisions, and faces much larger opponents.

He’s not picking easy matches. He’s testing himself — and that same mindset is what he brings to every class at Calvert MMA.

Jack began his Jiu-Jitsu journey on March 1, 2021. In just a few short years, he has built competition experience most athletes never reach — by training nearly every day and competing constantly under real pressure.

He’s not guessing. He’s been there.

Lead Instructor. Still a Student.

As of 2026, Jack serves as the Lead Instructor at Calvert MMA Academy®, working directly under Professor Jim Thrift and alongside Professor Kevin Southworth and the rest of the Team Lineage® staff.

He leads day-to-day instruction while continuing to train and compete at the highest level. Students learn from someone who is actively testing techniques in real competition.

As Captain of the Competition Team, Jack prepares students with practical insight into pacing, strategy, match management, and mental toughness.

But he doesn’t only coach competitors. He excels with:
